Rachel Afeaki Taumoepeau


Rachel is an experienced strategic and business director for her own company FaceNorth Promotions Ltd who has worked on numerous projects between New Zealand and the Pacific region to include trade and investment promotion and facilitation, international research expeditions, public relations and government advisory.

Rachel was the founding Chairperson of the NZ Tonga Business Council established five years ago which encourages and promotes two-way trade between both Nations. She is an advisory board member for Pacific Island Trade and Invest, Auckland office, an arm of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat based in Fiji.

Rachel also delivers consultative management services to a National NGO raising the awareness of child abuse and neglect across NZ engaging in both the public-private sector engaging with political and community leaders in addressing this area of concern.

She has recently been appointed under the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) as the South Pacific Regional Director for the WEA Global Women’s Commission and is currently a board member for the NZ Christian Network.

Rachel holds a Masters of Commerce Degree from the University of Auckland and is a married Alekisanita (Aleki) Taumoepeau a fresh-water marine biologist and they have 4 gorgeous boys aged 2-7 years old.
