Tiumalu Peter Fa’afiu is an experienced business leader.
Previously a New Zealand diplomat and trade negotiator, Peter is currently a Partner for Navigator Limited, an Australasian management consulting company he co-founded in 2012.
A Samoan New Zealander and raised in Glen Innes, Peter was previously the Interim Chief Executive and General Manager, Corporate Affairs at the Tamaki Regeneration Company (TRC), a $1.6 billion housing asset base Crown/Council company.
TRC owns 2,800 former Housing NZ houses, land, and tenancies in East Auckland. As Interim CEO, Peter was the youngest public sector CEO in 2014/15 at age 36. He led the successful lobbying for TRC's housing transfer, $200 mill loan, and carving out Tamaki as a special case for social service delivery.
He is Chair of Amnesty International NZ; Chair of First Foundation Trust; Panel Member of the NZ Press Council; and Member of the Asia NZ Foundation Leadership Network.
Peter is a father of three and lives in Waiuku. He has a BA/LLB from the University of Auckland and executive education from Mt Eliza Melbourne Business School. His Samoan title comes from the village of Satuimalufilufi.
