End of Year 2022 tax – what you need to know

Two things you need to know about end of year tax 2022:

1. The end of year tax process is automatic.

2. Refunds are automatic.

From May 28 to June 4 IRD will send you one of the following:

1. An income tax assessment telling you if you have paid the right amount of tax, have a refund or tax to pay.

2. A request for you to provide or confirm information about your income.

End of year tax returns are expected to be paid from mid-May to the end of July.

IRD have also developed facts sheets outlining help that is available to businesses during the Omicron outbreak.  These fact sheets are also available in other languages – as below.

One week to go! Health and Safety workshop

Our next Health and Safety workshop for Construction businesses is a week away on Thursday 21 April, and we don’t want you to miss out. 

This workshop introduces you to key health and safety concepts and obligations that business owners should know and understand.

Developed in collaboration with industry leading professionals, this workshop will allow you to understand the key requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, as they relate to operating a business in New Zealand.

Polynesian Night Markets are back

Polynesian Night Market are back. Head along for the best of Pacific food, products, home wares, arts, crafts and entertainment. The vibe is always magical and perfect for a Friday evening adventure. Vendors can be found here or check out Facebook for all updates.

From next week held every Friday at the Manukau Tennis Centre, inside the Manukau Sports Bowl from 6pm – 10pm with exception of 29 April which will be held at Mangere Arts Centre. Come and have fun, enjoy the food, and support our Pacific vendors.
