Flexi-wage subsidy for employers Flexi-wage helps employers hire staff and help them gain the skills needed to do the job. There’s a wage contribution, as well as training and ongoing support if it’s needed.

Use the subsidy in a variety of ways, for:

• a new employee who needs support to gain skills to do a job

• an existing employee at risk of being made redundant, who could be re-skilled into a different role.

Flexi-wage is paid for 24 or 36 weeks depending on the level of support a candidate needs, at $276 including GST a week. Find out more about eligibility and how to apply by contacting Work and Income.
