Creative New Zealand is delighted to invite Pacific artists and art practitioners to enter the Moana Creative Enterprise Award. The new award category has been introduced this year in the Pacific Business Awards to recognise a Pacific artist and art practitioner who is a trailblazer of a creative business entity in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Entries for the award are now open to those in the performing arts, visual arts, digital arts, musicians, dance, theatre, craft/objects, community arts, festivals, and design.
Ali Foa’i, Principal Adviser Pacific Arts, says of the new partnership between Creative New Zealand and the Pacific Business Awards hosted by the Pacific Business Trust.
“The Moana Creative Enterprise Award is an opportunity to showcase our Pacific entities that can sustain themselves creatively and financially and acknowledge their talent, business acumen and leadership.”
The Moana Creative Enterprise Award is now taking entries online at the Pacific Business Awards website and is free to enter.
Artists and art practitioners share in a short online entry form their areas of creativity, service or product, and their successes in business. Also how their creative enterprise aligns with the four core concepts of the Pacific Arts Strategy 2018 – 2023: Tagata – Leadership, Vaka –Capacity/skills development, Va – Relationships in Pacific arts and Moana –Meaningful relationships across Aotearoa and globally.
Entries close at midnight, Thursday, 22 September 2022.
