Moana Pasifika Dedicate Tonight’s Game to Ofa Atu Tonga Disaster Relief

Moana Pasifika historic game tonight and how to support ‘Ofa Atu Tonga’

This week is a big week for Moana Pasifika. International powerhouse and Wallaby Test centurion Sekope Kepu will captain Moana Pasifika, who have now been named for their debut season in Super Rugby Pacific.  Kepu’s  duties get underway tonight at the historic pre-season game against the Gallagher Chiefs.

The match has been dedicated to Tonga. Savae Sir Michael Jones says, “For Moana Pasifika this game has special meaning. Not only is it our first hit-out at our home base Mt Smart Stadium, but it will also be about supporting the Tongan community in these really difficult times.”

If you’d like to get in behind the team and support ‘Ofa Atu Tonga – To Tonga, With Love’ fundraiser, head along to the Moana Pasifika’s website where you can make a donation and go in the draw to win a special Heritage Jersey signed by the team. Or simply text ‘Tonga’ to 2446 to donate $3 with the charge going through your mobile phone provider.

To watch all the action live at Mt Smart Stadium tune-in tonight, Friday 4 Feb, to Sky Sport Now channel 51 or watch on Prime, build up starts 6.30 pm with kick-off at 7.00 pm.
